Watching the Oscars tonight…I must say, I do miss the days of Billy Crystal. This years hosts are find, but you really need to timing and work of a comedian to pull off the ultimate Oscar hosting event.

That being said, there is something magical about the night of honoring our wonderful actors, even if many of the nominees are Australian. Isn’t that what American is all about, people coming to our shores and becoming anything they want to be, actor, business person, dream maker or musician. We are gracious with our arms open and accepting of anyone who will contribute.

Back to the Oscars…my vote for Best Picture is The Kings Speech! Wonderful, amazing actors and beautiful sets created the right mood to carry us through the story and I ended with tears in my eyes just seeing what the King struggled with and then accomplished with hard work and determination…

Yum…and now back to the show.

So much going on all over, it is crazy! I have been going back and forth to Las Vegas this last month, partly for a leadership training course to send my life soaring(and it really has)since I started this journey. Next Monday Feb 21st I will be at the Rrazz room in the Hotel Nikko with Kelly Park on piano and Dan Fabricant on bass. Then I have my CD release concert on Tuesday March 8th with Grammy nominated George Mesterhazy on piano, the amazing Eddie Marshall on drums and fantastic Fred Randoph on bass. Who could ask for anything better??

This Thursday I fly back to Las Vegas for an audition to tour China and Japan later this year…did I tell you I am crazy? Oh wait…I am not crazy, the stuff happening around me is crazy! Bring it on…

So, I have 2 months till my CD Release Party on March 8th…

Yikes, so much to do and not enough time it feels like…I must find time to do all the things I need to do…and yes, I do procrastinate at moments, but I think it is because I look at all the things I need to accomplish and get overwhelmed by everything and so nothing gets done.

What do I want? That is alwasy the big picture now, isn’t it? If I could name my perfect life what would it  be?
