Last Time at Singing at Shanghai 1930

Published: December 20th, 2009 | Category: News

I am so sorry to say that another jazz club is folding up in the Bay Area!  Last night was the last time I will perform at Shanghai 1930, as of December 31st they are closing their doors. However, there is a bright star on the horizon..a club that opened in August called Coda, is fabulous. I have been so busy that I have not had the chance to stop by, but last night before the gig I dropped by and let me tell yo elegant decor, fabulous atmosphere and killer musicians…the menu looked great and I was hungry, but I don’t like to eat before I perform so I did not partake in any of the tasty sounding dishes. But I will go back.

My bass player at Shanghai last night was the incredible Fred Randolf, he has performed at Coda and says it is one sweet gig to perform there, the acoustics are nice and the audience embracing. So please, please, please let’s support this new venue and keep these clubs alive and making a profit so we can all enjoy live music.

Quick recap on upcoming weeks:

I leave in one week for Paris with charts in hand, then I go off to London for 5 days to see friends, back to Paris then head on home to get loads of work done, working on several new blues tunes to get the house rockin’! Happy Holidays to all, and to all a wonderful, fabulous, amazing holiday season.
